Wolf Tooth has what you need in the form of a beautifully machined asymmetrical 96 mm BCD that provides the ideal 1X chainline of 49mm. Note - The 28T and 26T sizes will mount to the inner 64 BCD mounting position on these cranksets. Compatibility: - These rings fit on the Shimano XT M8000, SLX M7000, Deore M6000, or FC M5100 1x or 2x cranksets - Not compatible with Deore triple (3x) cranksets - If using a 9-speed drivetrain use a 10-speed chain (shifts and works well on a 9-speed drivetrain and fits the ring tighter for better chain retention). - Provide a great chainline on most Boost bikes. Wolf Tooth was first to market with cyclocross 1x specific chainrings because we saw cyclocross as the perfect use for our Drop-Stop® technology. Since their release, the uses for these rings has expanded beyond cyclocross to commuting, gravel riding, and even full on-road applications with the giant 52t rings. - Fits 130 BCD 5 arm cranksets - Drop-Stop technology. On Wolf Tooth’s patented wide/narrow chainring, the wide side of the tooth has maximum contact on the drive side which spreads the load and improves chainring life. The narrow side allows clearance for mud and debris which reduces friction. - Alternating wide/narrow tooth pattern prevents chain derailment Compatibility: - These rings are for use with 130 BCD 5-arm cranksets. - Do NOT fit on the cranksets for Shimano DA 9000 / Ultegra 6800 - Not compatible with Campy CX10/11. - SRAM Exogram cranksets with inset nut must use stock fifth bolt + spacer(s). The Force CX1 bolt features a fifth bolt with 1x specific shoulder. This kit can be found online. - 38T important note: The chain may contact the spider arm slightly when using the 38T chainring (see last photo in the product images). We recommend filing a small chamfer on the spider arm but you can also just install it and let the chain do the work. This is only an issue with the 38T as the 130 BCD was designed for 39T smallest ring. - Stock 2x bolts will not work. You will need bolts like our 6mm bolts which are optimized for single ring mounting. These direct mount chainrings will replace your existing chainring and spider or replace the direct mount ring on SRAM cranksets including the DUB cranks. More power, better traction, less shifting. Wolf Tooth oval chainrings use our proprietary PowerTrac design that has all the benefits of oval, but without the funky, uneven pedal stroke. Ride one once and you’ll wonder why you waited so long to try oval.Think of an oval chainring as two chainrings in one. A major benefit of oval is how the shape of the chainring alters your gearing in two important phases of your pedal stroke by harnessing your body’s natural biomechanics. Here’s how it works. The area of the chainring with the larger diameter engages with the chain at the optimal point on the downstroke, which is what’s known as the Power Zone. If you were to look at a clock, the Power Zone would be between 1-5 and 7-11. Conversely, the Recovery Zone – back to the clock face, between 11-1 and 5-7 – is the weakest part of the pedal stroke, when the oval maximizes your efficiency. A 34T oval chainring behaves like a 36T chainring when you want power, while behaving like a 32T chainring when you’re climbing.

We designed these bolts to be the best on the market. These single chainring optimized bolts have a 4 mm hex socket on the bolt and a 6 mm hex socket on the nut so no spanner is needed. These are 6 mm long so they work perfectly with any bolt on single chainring that does not have threaded standoffs.
