At the Nicollet South Bike Shop we pride ourselves on having only the best mechanics work on your bike. Each of our mechanics has had many years of experience. Some have even had many years experience racing. All of them are also excellent riders and very knowledgeable. The basic tune-up includes:

Any parts with permission will cost extra plus installation fee

The minor tune-up includes:

Adjusting: brakes, shifting, and bearings
Tightening all bolts
Minor wheel truing
Checking air pressure in tires
Plus any other minor adjustments.
Test ride by shop mechanic

Any parts with permission will cost extra plus installation fee

Minor tune-ups can usually be done while you wait.

The standard tune-up includes:

Adjusting: brakes, shifting, and bearings
Clean and Lube the drive train (chain and freewheel) and cables
Tightening all bolts
Truing wheels
Checking air pressure in tires
Plus any other minor adjustments.
Test ride by shop mechanic

Any parts with permission will cost extra plus installation fee

Some standard tune-ups can be done in as little as an hour. Others may require leaving the bike with us overnight.

The major tune-up includes:

All parts of the standard tune-up plus
Complete disassembly of the bike and wheels
Re-greasing and inspecting the bearings in the wheels, headset, and bottom bracket.
We also clean the entire bike (very dirty bikes will require an extra charge).
Test ride by shop mechanic

Any parts with permission will cost extra plus installation fee

Most major tune-ups can be done within 24-hours, thus requiring the bike to be left with us for that time period.

The Warranty tune-up includes:

Adjusting: brakes, shifting, and bearings
Tightening all bolts
Minor wheel Truing
Checking air pressure in tires
Plus any other minor adjustments.
Test ride by shop mechanic

The warranty tune only covers minor repairs as as result of "normal use and conditions." We will need to charge for any repair above and beyond that which is covered under the warranty tune. Most warranty tune-ups can be done in a few minutes while the customer waits. Otherwise they may be left and picked up later. Or you can arrange to have us pick up and then deliver the bike.

The Complete Restoration includes:

All parts of the major tune-up plus
Repainting of the frame
Great deals on replacement parts and accessories
Overhaul of all components
Test ride by shop mechanic

The Complete Restoration tune-up can be done in just a few days, but could take over a week. We request that you make an appointment before bringing your bike in. Please contact us for an estimate.
